what are the stages of mitosis
I - interphase

what does each stage of mitosis do
interphase- the cell stays like this for most of its life, the DNA copies ready for mitosis
prophase- the membraine around the nucleus dissapears
metaphase- chromosomes and their copies line up in the middle of the cell
anaphase- chromosomes and their copies are pulled to different ends of the cell
telophase- new menbrains form around the chromosomes at each end of the cell
cytokinesis- the cell membraine pintches and eventually divides into two genetically identical cells
what does mitosis produce
2 genetically identical daughter cells which are used for growth and repair
