What is purgatory?
This is a place where some people who have sinned are purified in a cleansing fire after which they are accepted into Heaven.
Some people aren’t bad enough to go to hell and Good enough to go straight to Heaven.
They need to transfer from the sinfulness of this world to the purity of the next.

How does purgatory a way to help get back with God.
Eternal life with God is about being in a state of perfection and cleansing those mistakes and errors lets a person be reunited with God in Heaven.
How can this change a Catholics life?
Catholics will pray to God for their loved ones soul, in the hope that if they are in purgatory, they are reunited with God soon.
Catholics try to follow the teachings of Jesus in daily life such as “love thy neighbour”to ensure that their souls can be in Heaven with God after the death of their body.
