What must we check in this case?

A

Time against the turn during the maneuver

45º every 15 seconds
360º every 2 minutes

How do you perform the manouver?

A

Acft trimmed in straight and level flight at 120 kts
Heading bug on the heading with which we begin the turn and prepare the timer or the watch if it is analogue and choose the point at which we will begin to turn

Arriving at this point, turn in the chosen direction with a turn of 3º second on the turn coordinator and add another half an inch of power

How often does the student check the manouver?

A

Every 15 secs
Comment whether you are on time, behind or ahead with respect to the standard
In the last two cases we will apply either an increased or decreased turn to correct the deviation
Corrections will be smooth and with a maximum bank of 30º
When turns are correct again, return to standard rate

What happens if you increase your angle of bank?

A

You will have to increase power by around half an inch, but then it will have to be removed once return to the standard rate

When does the manouver finish?

A

After 2 minutes with the aircraft back on its initial heading, the same altitude and with 120 kts.

A
