Q

Interior structures of Bladder is made up of:

A

Mucous memebrane:
* wrinkled when empty forming folds (rugae), not sensitive to pain

Trigone:
* bounded by internal urtheral orifice below and 2 ureteric orificies superolateraly
* Sensitive to pain
* pink (pale vascular)
* mucosa is mesodermal in origin

2 Ureteric orifices:
* At the 2 superolateral angles of the trigone
* slit like
* muscular ridge extending between the 2 orifices know interureteric crest, forming upper boundary of trigone

Internal urethral orifice:
* lies in apex of trigone
* small elevation behind it in adult males caused by median lobe of prostate (uvula of prostate)

17
Q

Describe Arterial supply of urinary bladder

A

Superior surface = Superior vesical A:
* from proximal patent part of umbilical A of Internal ilac A

Infero-lateral surface = Inferior vesical A 🚹/ Vaginal A & uterine A 🚺:

+ Branches from obturator A

18
Q

Venous drainage of urinary bladder

A

Vesical Venous plexus (in fascia surrounding bladder) β€”> Internal iliac vein

19
Q

Lymph drainage of Urinary bladder

A
  • Upper part –> external iliac LNs
  • Lower part –> Internal Iliac LNs
  • some from neck –> sacral LNs
20
Q

Parasympathetic Nerve supply of bladder & its action

A

S2,3,4 along pelvic splanchnic N

Action: contract wall of bladder, relax sphincter

21
