zona fasciculata - Glucocorticoids
zona reticularis - Gonadocorticoids
Endocrine disruptors - main exposure sources, primary effects on physiology
A few of the main exposure sources of endocrine disruptors are pesticides in our food, toxic metals in the air and BPAs in many containers and packages. Some of the most notable effects of endocrine disruptors are impaired fertility, increased risk of cancer as well as increased risk of diabetes and obesity.
