- gram negative

- ↓ Somatostatin
- increase luminal gastric acid
- Urease -> results in ammonia generation
- ↓ HCO3- Secretion

how is H pylori diagnosed?
A
- biopsy
- stool antigen
— C urea breath test
( both would be +ve)

how is H pylori treated?
A
tripple cap therapy
- clarithromycin, amoxicillin, PPI ( proton pump inhibitor)
