A

In patients with breast cancer undergoing breast conserving surgery with adjuvant radiotherapy if, at sentinel node biopsy, more 3 or more involved nodes are found then axillary node clearance is indicated

What are radial scars?

A

A benign (not cancer) area of hardened tissue in the breast that looks like a scar when viewed under a microscope. Radial scars often occur in both breasts, and more than one lesion is usually present in each breast.

What is the difference between invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma in situ?

A

Ductal carcinoma is easier to pick up via imaging and lobular often is not picked up. Ductal is more likely to be a discrete mass whereas lobular is more likely to have nipple changes and thickened skin.
