Kid Yin Xu (deficient condition)
Sore achy lower back - worse on standing, better for walking - worse in afternoon and evening.
night sweats,
dry mouth and throat at night
Dizziness
Tinnitus
Vertigo
poor memory
hardness of hearing
5 palm heat, heat in the PM
Thirst
Ache in bones
Wet dreams
constipation - dry stools
dark scanty urine
urination at night
infertility
premature ejactulation
tiredness lassitude
depression anxiety
inappropriate fear
Usually seen in in old age - 50+
tends to be chronic
most symps due to kid yin xu
deficient kid yin fails to produce enough marrow to nourish brain causing dizziness, tinnitus, poor memory
Yin xu leads to drying of fluid causing dry throat and mouth at night, dry stools, dark scanty urine. Night sweating due to deficient yin failing to hold in wei qi so nutritive essences come out as sweat.
Wet dreams due to kid jing xu
lower backache and achy bones due to kidney jing failing to nourish bones
depression due to the will (zhi)being weak and slight anxiety caused by empty heat from Yin xu
Kid Yang Xu (deficient condition )
Sore achy lower back - worse whentired or cold
Feeling cold
weak legs and knees
Cold back and knees
bright white complexion
impotence, premature ejactulation
abundant clear urination, urination at night
oedema in legs
infertility in women, low sperm count in men
inappropriate fear
apathy
poor appetite
loose stools
Need to use pulses to check if this syndrome is present as symps common to many other patterns.
Tends to be chronic, may change from yin - yang or yang to yin over time (not going pong between)
Most symps due to kid yang xu
Fire at gate of life (mingmen) fails to warm body causing all cold symps
All sexual and gynae problems due to deficient yang failing to warm and nourish the essences
yang failing to transform the fluids leading to abundant urination and oedema of the legs
Loose stools poor appetite are due to Sp yang not being nourised by the Kidneys
Kid Qi not Firm (deficient condition)
Dribbling after urination, abundant urination, weak stream, incontinance, bedwetting, urination at night
Wet dreams without dreams, prem ejaculation, ejaculation without orgasm
prolapse of uterus, dragging down feeling in lower abdomen, recurrent miscarriage
chronic vaginal discharge,
lower back ache weak knees
This results from Yang being deficient. The original (yuan) qi being deficient and qi sinking.
All urinary symps due to kid qi and yuan qi being deficient and unable to support the bladder in its function of transforming qi
The kidneys control the two orifices so leaming symptoms of vaginal discharge, or sperm - weak yuan qi not strong enough to hold in fluids and sperm
Kidneys failing to receive qi (deficient condition)
Shortness of breath on exertion, difficulty inhaling, rapid and weak breathing, chronic cough, chronic asthma,
spontaneous sweating, cold limbs after sweating,
swelling of the face,
lassitude, mental listlessness,
clear urination after asthma attack,
lower backache.
Kidney yang xu pattern with dysfunction of the Kid function of receiving qi.
This pattern is also characterised by the failure of lungs and Kidneys to communicate. (lungs control exhalation kidneys control inhalation)
If kid yang not sufficient to transform fluids, oedema may result in the face because of the lung involvement.
Symps in the chest are due to kid failing to hold qi down so it rises and accumulates in the chest.
All other symps are du to Kid yang xu
Kid Jing Xu (deficient condition)
In children, poor bone development, late closing of the fontanelle.
In adults, weak sexual activity, sore and achy lower back which is worse in afternoon and evening, deafness, osteoporosis, loose teeth, weak knees and legs, decreased mental sharpness, absent mindedness, infertility early amenorrhoea, hard of hearing, tinnitus.
Primarily a Kid Yin xu pattern although there is also a yang aspect to JING. All symps due to Jing xu which controls growth and reproduction
weak jing fails to generate the marrow and nourish bones, leading to late closure of fontanelle, softening and weakening of bones, including teeth.
All mental symps due to marrow not nourishing the brain.
Kidney Yang Xu - water overflowing (mixed condition)
Pitting oedema in legs and feet
feeling cold
cold feeling in legs and back
fullness and distention of abdomen
lower backache when cold or tired
scanty clear urine
Water overflowing to the Heart
Same as above plus palps, breathless and cold hands
Water overflowing to the Lungs
Same as above plus thin watery sputum, cough, asthma, and breathlessness on exertion
Sever kid yang xu. Most symps derive from Kid yang failing to transform fluids, so fluids accumulate under the skin in form of oedema.
Fire at the gate of life (ming men) fails to warm the body leading to all the cold symps
Kid Yin Xu - Empty fire blazing (mixed condition)
Insomnia, night sweats
sore achy lower back worse in the pm
mental restlessness
low grade fever or feeling of heat in the Pm
dry throat - esp at night
malar flush
scanty dark urine
blood in urine
wet dreams, excess sexual desire
vivid dreams
constipation with dry stools
Advanced Kid yin xu causing empty Fire
Most symps due to empty fire flaring up and affecting the heart and face. (mental restlessness, malar flush, insomnia, vivid dreams)
and dryness from yin xu (dry throat at night scanty dark urine, dry stools)
Wet dream due to kid jing xu
