Q
IV analgesics - general anaesthetics
(work by blocking the nerve signals)
act on CNS
ion channels and membrane receptors
fat soluble.
A

Profofol - non barbituate (think Michael jackson )
ETOmudate - IV anaesthetic

Q

Muscle Relaxants

A

Block transmission in motor nerves. Reduce the need for deep anaesthesia, relax vocal chords, require assisted respiration.

Pancuriam, pancronim (ach antagonist, competes with nicotinic receptors), suxamethonium (depolorising antagonist. Psendochineterase enzyme).
