Q

What are is the hot air taken from for the engine anti-icing and the wing anti-icing?

A
  • An independent air bleed from the high-pressure compressor protects each engine nacelle form ice. Air is supplied through a two positions (open or closed) valve that the crew controls with two p/b, 1 for each engine.
  • Hot air from the pneumatic system heats three outboard slats (3-5) of each wing. Air sis supplied via 1 valve on each wing.
