A subjective measure: an individuals own opinion about how they feel about their health, there state of mind and life in general. How someone feels about there HWB
Incidence
refers to the existence or number of new cases of a particular disease or condition that arise in a population in a certain period of time
Prevalence
refers to the number of cases in a particular disease or condition that are present in a population at a given point in time
Life expectancy
measures the number of years a person is expected to live, on the basis that current health condition do not change
HALE
Health adjusted life expectancy
the number of years in full health that a person can expect to live, based on current rates of an ill health and mortality in a population
Maternal Mortality
the number of deaths of mothers as a result of pregnancy or childbirth, up to six weeks after delivery
Rate : usually expressed per 100,000 births
-Infant mortality
the death of an infant before the age of 1
usually expressed per 1000 births
