1st Quarter Normal Development Flashcards
(5 cards)
Neonate normal development
- physiological flexion
- moro reflex
- primary standing and automatic walking
- P to S = no flexor control and head lag
1 month normal development
Decreased physiological flexion in prone
ATNR appears
Prone very slight head lift
P- S: no flexor control and head lag
2nd month normal development
ATNR increases
Prone is quick head lift to 45 and turning
P-S fleeting attempts to lift head
Standing= astasia abasia
3rd month normal development
ATNR decreases (increase midline and flexor control)
Prone head 45-90 and maintain in midline without bobbing
Supine: midline control of head + Hand- mouth + foot-foot play
P-S: head lag @initiation but Head RR with Flexion occurs halfway through
6 Atypical gross motor development in neonate to 3 months
Strong extension (⬆️ tone ) and minimal flexion
Hypotonia
Lower extremities strongly extended
No lower extremity kicking in supine
No attempt to lift head from P-S @ 3 months
No hand and body exploration in supine @3 months
