Q

How can inter-rater reliability be improved?

A
  1. Better training: more easily identify behaviour
  2. Operationalisation: make sure both observers clear on what looking for + distinct behavioural categories
  3. Behaviour view: both observers have same view on behaviour / video and both watch

Q

What is test-retest reliability and how is it compared

A
  • Extent that tool consistent/ stable over time
  • Test given to person on two separate occasions: if results similar then reliable (strong positive correlation

Q

How can test-retest reliability be improved?

A
  • Do pilot study by looking closely at test and identifying parts that do not correlate well
  • Remove / change parts to raise reliability
