A

When standard used by manufacturer change it can cause major problems to customers who use their products as it can make products obsolete. However it is necessary to stay competitive. Examples of changing standard elements of products include the introduction of HDMI to replace SCART for HD TV and the removal of optical disc capacity due to new laptops
