What is the UK sports Institute?
A high performance agency, that provides over a 100million a year, to the top/best Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Provides services and facilities and for them to compete.
What are NGB’s and name 4?
National governing bodies are organisations such as the RFU, FA, BOA, LTA. there main roles are to adapt/change/regulate rules. Provide funding and promote the sport. Organise competition structure and develop school club links.
What is UK sport?
A government programme to help performers reach the top.
What is the youth sport trust?
A charity devoted to changing young peoples life’s though sport. Aims to build better life’s for them through P.E and sport.
English federation of disability sport?
Establishes a talent spotting system. Responsible for development of disability sport. Develops all levels of competition. Selects regional and national squads.
What are Olympic organisations?
Organisations such as the B.O.A & I.O.C. The BOA selects athletes for participation. Invest money into sport. Provides facilities and services. Develops and Educates the public.The IOC owns all the rights of the Olympic games and selects host cities.
What is the private sector?
Taking part or being involved in sporting activity that cost. Such as David Lloyd. A profitable organisation.
What is a voluntary organisation?
All local sports clubs in the community. Local run organisations, that are not made to make a profit (Non-profitable) Also run by volunteers. Organisations Such as hollingbury hawkes FC. Pay to play. Facilities are hired.
