אנַֽחֲמ֥וּ נַֽחֲמ֖וּ עַמִּ֑י יֹאמַ֖ר אֱלֹקיכֶֽם: בדַּבְּר֞וּ עַל־לֵ֤ב יְרֽוּשָׁלַ֨ם֙ וְקִרְא֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יהָ כִּ֤י מָֽלְאָה֙ צְבָאָ֔הּ כִּ֥י נִרְצָ֖ה עֲוֹנָ֑הּ כִּ֤י לָֽקְחָה֙ מִיַּ֣ד ה כִּפְלַ֖יִם בְּכָל־חַטֹּאתֶֽיהָ:
Isaiah 40:1
Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God.
Beginning of second Isaiah. the punishment is finished.
אָנֹכִ֨י אָנֹכִ֥י ה֛וּא מֹחֶ֥ה פְשָׁעֶ֖יךָ לְמַֽעֲנִ֑י וְחַטֹּאתֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א אֶזְכֹּֽר
No teshuva necessary. God will just erase all sin. It is like a time out. When the time out is over, we will be forgiven. מֹחֶה - erase לְמַעֲנִי - for my sake
Isaiah (2) 43:25
I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake; and thy sins I will not remember.
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֨ר ה מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וְגֹֽאֲל֖וֹ ה צְבָא֑וֹת אֲנִ֤י רִאשׁוֹן֙ וַֽאֲנִ֣י אַֽחֲר֔וֹן וּמִבַּלְעָדַ֖י אֵ֥ין אֱלֹהִֽים
Supremacy, totality of God. I am the first adn the last (=universal)* וְגֹאֲלוֹ - and its(Israel’s) redeemer
Isaiah 44:6
מָחִ֤יתִי כָעָב֙ פְּשָׁעֶ֔יךָ וְכֶֽעָנָ֖ן חַטֹּאותֶ֑יךָ שׁוּבָ֥ה אֵלַ֖י כִּ֥י גְאַלְתִּֽיךָ
God wipes out all sin just like a raising fog. No teshuva necessary.* מָחִיתִי - I erased כָעָב֙ - like a thick cloud כֶֽעָנָ֖ן - like a cloud שׁוּבָ֥ה - return גְאַלְתִּֽיךָ-I redeem you
יוֹצֵ֥ר אוֹר֙ וּבוֹרֵ֣א חֹ֔שֶׁךְ עֹשֶׂ֥ה שָׁל֖וֹם וּב֣וֹרֵא רָ֑ע
Isaiah (2) 45:7 God creates light and dark, peace and evil (=universal)
כִּי־לִי֙ תִּכְרַ֣ע כָּל־בֶּ֔רֶךְ תִּשָּׁבַ֖ע כָּל־לָשֽׁוֹן
Isaiah (2) 45:23
that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנַ֣יִךְ ה וֵֽאלֹהַ֨יִךְ֙ יָרִ֣יב עַמּ֔וֹ הִנֵּ֥ה לָקַ֛חְתִּי מִיָּדֵ֖ךְ אֶת־כּ֣וֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָ֑ה אֶת־קֻבַּ֨עַת֙ כּ֣וֹס חֲמָתִ֔י לֹֽא־תוֹסִ֥יפִי לִשְׁתּוֹתָ֖הּ עֽוֹד
Isaiah saying we are done with the punishment that was described in Jeremiah. We no longer have to drink from the cup of God’s anger. wake up, Jerusalem! You drank enough poison; God takes the cup away.*
יָרִיב - to judge הַתַּרְעֵלָ֑ה- poison or villany קבעת - cup חמה - anger Isaiah 51:22
עוּרִ֥י עוּרִ֛י לִבְשִׁ֥י עֻזֵּ֖ךְ צִיּ֑וֹן לִבְשִׁ֣י ׀ בִּגְדֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלַ֨ם֙ עִ֣יר הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֣י לֹ֥א יוֹסִ֛יף יָבֹֽא־בָ֥ךְ ע֖וֹד עָרֵ֥ל וְטָמֵֽא: בהִתְנַֽעֲרִ֧י מֵעָפָ֛ר ק֥וּמִי שְּׁבִ֖י יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑ם הִֽתְפַּתְּחִו֙ [הִֽתְפַּתְּחִי֙] מוֹסְרֵ֣י צַוָּארֵ֔ךְ שְׁבִיָּ֖ה בַּת־צִיּֽוֹן
Said during kabbalat shabbat. message of future hope
Arise Zion, wear your finest, Jerusalem. Shake off the dust and remove your yoke.*
note עוּרִי עוּרִי form of verb usually means second Isaiah
מַה־נָּאו֨וּ עַל־הֶהָרִ֜ים רַגְלֵ֣י מְבַשֵּׂ֗ר מַשְׁמִ֧יעַ שָׁל֛וֹם מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר ט֖וֹב מַשְׁמִ֣יעַ יְשׁוּעָ֑ה אֹמֵ֥ר לְצִיּ֖וֹן מָלַ֥ךְ אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ
The mevaser (bringer of good news) will be awesome! (mevaser - Hoshana Rabba liturgy) נָּאו֨וּ - beautiful משמיע - to voice an opinion or make a speech
Isaiah (2) 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announceth peace, the harbinger of good tidings, that announceth salvation; that saith unto Zion: ‘Thy God reigneth!’
דאָכֵ֤ן חֳלָיֵ֨נוּ֙ ה֣וּא נָשָׂ֔א וּמַכְאֹבֵ֖ינוּ סְבָלָ֑ם וַֽאֲנַ֣חְנוּ חֲשַׁבְנֻ֔הוּ נָג֛וּעַ מֻכֵּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים וּמְעֻנֶּֽה: הוְהוּא֙ מְחֹלָ֣ל מִפְּשָׁעֵ֔נוּ מְדֻכָּ֖א מֵֽעֲוֹֽנֹתֵ֑ינוּ מוּסַ֤ר שְׁלוֹמֵ֨נוּ֙ עָלָ֔יו וּבַֽחֲבֻֽרָת֖וֹ נִרְפָּא־לָֽנוּ: וכֻּלָּ֨נוּ֙ כַּצֹּ֣אן תָּעִ֔ינוּ אִ֥ישׁ לְדַרְכּ֖וֹ פָּנִ֑ינוּ וַֽה֙ הִפְגִּ֣יעַ בּ֔וֹ אֵ֖ת עֲוֹ֥ן כֻּלָּֽנוּ: זנִגַּ֨שׂ וְה֣וּא נַֽעֲנֶה֘ וְלֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־פִּיו֒ כַּשֶּׂה֙ לַטֶּ֣בַח יוּבָ֔ל וּכְרָחֵ֕ל לִפְנֵ֥י גֹֽזְזֶ֖יהָ נֶאֱלָ֑מָה וְלֹ֥א יִפְתַּ֖ח פִּֽיו

Isaiah 53:4-7
4. Indeed, he bore our illnesses, and our pains-he carried them, yet we accounted him as plagued, smitten by God and oppressed. But he was pained because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his wound we were healed. 6. We all went astray like sheep, we have turned, each one on his way, and the Lord accepted his prayers for the iniquity of all of us. 7. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he would not open his mouth; like a lamb to the slaughter he would be brought, and like a ewe that is mute before her shearers, and he would not open his mouth.
רָנִּ֥י עֲקָרָ֖ה לֹ֣א יָלָ֑דָה פִּצְחִ֨י רִנָּ֤ה וְצַֽהֲלִי֙ לֹא־חָ֔לָה כִּֽי־רַבִּ֧ים בְּֽנֵי־שׁוֹמֵמָ֛ה מִבְּנֵ֥י בְעוּלָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר ה
Shout and exult, barren woman!

רני = sing פצחי - break out (into singing) צהל - rejoice חלה - become sick שוממה- one who is desolate, abandoned. בעולה - married Isaiah (2) 54:1
באַשְׁרֵ֤י אֱנוֹשׁ֙ יַֽעֲשֶׂה־זֹּ֔את וּבֶן־אָדָ֖ם יַֽחֲזִ֣יק בָּ֑הּ שֹׁמֵ֤ר שַׁבָּת֙ מֵֽחַלְּל֔וֹ וְשֹׁמֵ֥ר יָד֖וֹ מֵֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת כָּל־רָֽע: גוְאַל־יֹאמַ֣ר בֶּן־הַנֵּכָ֔ר הַנִּלְוָ֤ה אֶל־ה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַבְדֵּ֧ל יַבְדִּילַ֛נִי ה מֵעַ֣ל עַמּ֑וֹ וְאַל־יֹאמַר֙ הַסָּרִ֔יס הֵ֥ן אֲנִ֖י עֵ֥ץ יָבֵֽשׁ: דכִּי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר ה לַסָּֽרִיסִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִשְׁמְרוּ֙ אֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֔י וּבָֽחֲר֖וּ בַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר חָפָ֑צְתִּי וּמַֽחֲזִיקִ֖ים בִּבְרִיתִֽי: הוְנָֽתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֜ם בְּבֵיתִ֤י וּבְחֽוֹמֹתַי֙ יָ֣ד וָשֵׁ֔ם ט֖וֹב מִבָּנִ֣ים וּמִבָּנ֑וֹת שֵׁ֤ם עוֹלָם֙ אֶתֶּן־ל֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת: ווּבְנֵ֣י הַנֵּכָ֗ר הַנִּלְוִ֤ים עַל־ה֙ לְשָׁ֣רְת֔וֹ וּֽלְאַֽהֲבָה֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת ל֖וֹ לַֽעֲבָדִ֑ים כָּל־שֹׁמֵ֤ר שַׁבָּת֙ מֵֽחַלְּל֔וֹ וּמַֽחֲזִיקִ֖ים בִּבְרִיתִֽי: זוַֽהֲבִֽיאוֹתִ֞ים אֶל־הַ֣ר קָדְשִׁ֗י וְשִׂמַּחְתִּים֙ בְּבֵ֣ית תְּפִלָּתִ֔י עוֹלֹתֵיהֶ֧ם וְזִבְחֵיהֶ֛ם לְרָצ֖וֹן עַל־מִזְבְּחִ֑י כִּ֣י בֵיתִ֔י בֵּית־תְּפִלָּ֥ה יִקָּרֵ֖א לְכָל־הָעַמִּֽים:
Keep the Sabbath, be good, keep My covenant; foreigners and eunuchs –everyone is welcome at the Temple; the Temple is for all nations.Universalism unlike Ezekiel and Ezra/Nehemiah
Isaiah (2) 56:7
הֲכָזֶ֗ה יִֽהְיֶה֙ צ֣וֹם אֶבְחָרֵ֔הוּ י֛וֹם עַנּ֥וֹת אָדָ֖ם נַפְשׁ֑וֹ הֲלָכֹ֨ף כְּאַגְמֹ֜ן רֹאשׁ֗וֹ וְשַׂ֤ק וָאֵ֨פֶר֙ יַצִּ֔יעַ הֲלָזֶה֙ תִּקְרָא־צ֔וֹם וְי֥וֹם רָצ֖וֹן לַה: והֲל֣וֹא זֶה֘ צ֣וֹם אֶבְחָרֵהוּ֒ פַּתֵּ֨חַ֙ חַרְצֻבּ֣וֹת רֶ֔שַׁע הַתֵּ֖ר אֲגֻדּ֣וֹת מוֹטָ֑ה וְשַׁלַּ֤ח רְצוּצִים֙ חָפְשִׁ֔ים וְכָל־מוֹטָ֖ה תְּנַתֵּֽקוּ
**Isaiah criticising empty rituals. You think I want your droopy fasting? The fast I want is when you do justice and support the oppressed. **.כְּאַגְמֹ֜ן - reed הלכף (כפף- to bow down אבחרהו - I have chosen it רצון - satisfying (to the lord)
Isaiah (2) 58:5-6
אִם־תָּשִׁ֤יב מִשַּׁבָּת֙ רַגְלֶ֔ךָ עֲשׂ֥וֹת חֲפָצֶ֖יךָ בְּי֣וֹם קָדְשִׁ֑י וְקָרָ֨אתָ לַשַּׁבָּ֜ת עֹ֗נֶג לִקְד֤וֹשׁ ה֙ מְכֻבָּ֔ד וְכִבַּדְתּוֹ֙ מֵֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת דְּרָכֶ֔יךָ מִמְּצ֥וֹא חֶפְצְךָ֖ וְדַבֵּ֥ר דָּבָֽר
