A

1) Due to accidental surgical excision (thyroid surgery)
2) Autoimmune destruction
3) DiGeorge syndrome

Finding: hypocalcemia, tetany
Chvostek’s sign (tapping facial nerve causes contraction)
Trousseau’s sign (occlusion of brachial artery with BP, carpal spasm)
