a lot like amicar - anti-fibrinolytic, prevents blood loss
dose = 20 mg/kg IV, or 1 gram
inhibits breakdown of fibrin clots, prevents plug dissolution

M.M. Beta Blockers

A

Lopressor - Metoprolol - decrease HR (4-6 hr)
Labetolol - decrease BP (24 hrs)
Esmolol - for high HR and BP, “test dose” for labetolol
