- draw a face, colour in and cut with scissors

- starting to understand the difference between past and present
- can complete a 12 piece puzzle

- speech is clearer
- vocabulary now larger and starting to use full sentences
- enjoys books a lot

- finds it easier to wait
- will comfort other children who are upset
- may have grown out of separation anxiety
- can develop some fears at this age

- uses a fork and spoon successful
- starts to take turns and share with other children
- enjoys playing with other children (joining in play)
- will take themselves to the toilet and wash hands – may need help
