Reportable Disease.
Communicable diseases and health conditions required to be reported to
Texas Department of State Health Services in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code, Section 81.041, as may be amended.
Tuberculosis (TB).
A communicable disease that is caused by slow growing bacteria that are spread in airborne droplets.
General symptoms of active TB include lethargy, weakness, weight loss, loss of appetite, fever, night sweats, chronic coughing, chest pain, or coughing up blood.
