6 months - 7 years, mean age 19 months, fawn coloured females
Clinical course few days to months before presentation, forebrain affected = cerebellum +/- thalamus,
Mean survival 23 days

What are the characteristics of NLE (necrotising leucoencephalitis)?

A

1-10 years old with no sex predisposition
Yorkshire terriers and other breeds
Highly variable clinical course, usually chronic progressive affecting the forebrain and brainstem causing altered mentation, seizures, central blindness, central vestibular signs
