Samhain, which was the most important festival, took place on the 1st of November, and Imbolc, which represents the end of winter, is celebrated on the 1st of February which is also St. Brigid’s Day.

How did the Celts bury the dead?
A
The Celts cremated the dead and put the remains in a pot and placed in a pit or cist grave. Grave goods such as jewellery, weapons, food and drink were usually placed in the cist graves.
