Q

Gel Electrophoresis Direction/Size

A

Use PCR DNA products. Smaller strands go further towards + electrode, longer strands travel shorter. Proteins can also be tested, but not all have negative charge so it separates based on size and charge

Q

Direct vs. Indirect ELISA

A

Direct: Use test Ab to see if a specific Ag is present in serum
