What is the difference between the Apley Compression Test & the Apley Distraction Test?

Apley Compression= tests medial & lateral meniscal tear
- Pain, locking, & clicking are positive tests
Apley Distraction= tests for ligamentous injury
- Increased pain or change in the location of pain indicates a positive test
