Q

Describe the Pathogenesis

A

Associated with both outdoor and indoor production

Problems attributed to ascarids

Indoor systems
- Resistance of egg to disinfectants combined with number laid by
females
- Makes it difficult to rid facility of ascarids

Outdoor systems

 - Earthworms/dung beetles - reservoirs
 - Older animals develop immunity

Heavy infections transient

Pneumonia (
