Q

Sage X3 - Leveraging the power of AWS Platform.
Why did Sage select AWS as a platform of choice and what does this mean for customers?

A

EASY TO USE:
- AWS is easy to use.
- AWS is designed to allow application providers, ISVs, and Venders to quickly and securely host your applications whether an existing application or a new SaaS-based application.
- Customers can use the AWS Management Console or well-documented web services APIs to access AWS’s application hosting platform.

COST-EFFECTIVE:
- AWS Platform is Cost Effective.
- Sage only pays for the compute power, storage, and other resources our customers use, with no long-term contracts or up-front commitments.
- This allows us to make our solutions cost-effective for ourselves and ultimately our customers driving increased ROI benefits.

RELIABLE:
- AWS is reliable.
- With AWS, Sage takes advantage of scalable, reliable and secure global computing infrastructure, the virtual backbone of Amazon.com’s multi-billion dollar online business that has been honed for over a decade.

SECURE:
- AWS is secure.
- AWS utilizes and end-to-end approach to secure and harden our infrastructure, including physical, operational, and software measures.

FLEXIBLE:
- AWS is flexible.
- AWS enables Sage to select the operating system, programing language, web application platform, database, and other services we need. This eases the migration process for existing applications while preserving options for building new solutions. We are also able to leverage advanced capabilities like Docker.

EASIER DEPLOYMENT:
- Easier deployment with Docker.
- Docker is a software platform that allows Sage to build, test and deploy applications quickly.
- Docker packages software into standardized units called containers that have everything the software needs to run including libraries, system tools, code, and runtime.

SCALABLE AND HIGH PERFORMANCE:
- Using AWS tools, Auto Scaling, and Elastic Load Balancing, applications can scale up or down based on demand.
- Baked by Amazon’s massive infrastructure, customers have access to compute and storage resources when you need them.
