Early Intervention
Federally supported program implemented by states for children age birth to 3 years who have a disability
Early Intervention
Places people would normally find themselves depending on age and activity.
Natural environments
Refers to whether or not the child qualifies, under the state’s criteria, to receive EI services.

Functions as a consultant to the parents and service providers.

Questions worded such that they assume the family is already working toward improving the situation, giving the family credit for their efforts.
solution-focused questions
Process of noticing, describing, and discussing an interactive event between family member and child that is likely to promote child change.
Amplification
Determines the skills needed to be successful in various environments.
Ecological evaluation
Observation-based, transdisciplinary assessment tool.
