16
Q

What is the key lesion in psoas syndrome?

A

L1 and 2

17
Q

Sx of psoas syndrome?

A

Pain when sitting straight up or standing, vague pain in lumbar or lumbosacral area, pain in opposite leg (because opposite piriformis can get irritated)

18
Q

Tx of psoas syndrome?

A

counterstrain on iliopsoas point, ice, HVLA of key lesion

19
Q

O/I of piriformis?

A

O-anterolater border of sacrum and sacroiliac joint

I- greater trochanter of femur

20
Q

Etiology of piriformis syndrome?

A

local trauma to butt, running, sacral base unleveling, pelvic instability

21
Q

Sx of piriformis syndrome?

A

hip and butt pain with radiation to the thigh, usually no neurological defects

22
Q

Tx of piriformis syndrome?

A

OMT, muscle energy
