Education

A

Because education is a human right, the government must provide free schooling for its population
These allow every UK citizen opportunity through education and, through learning, allows them to help the community
e.g. doctors
Human rights are important to allow education to better our society

Slavery

A

Nobody can be enslaved as slavery is forbidden by the UN Declaration of Human Rights and the EU Human Rights
This means the public is safe from the immorality that is slavery and protects them as it is forbidden by legislation

Protect the vulnerable in society

A

Human rights have to be upheld by law so citizens of the U can appeal to the UN International Court of Justice if they feel the government are abusing their human rights
This means UK citizens are protected from being unjustly treated

Fairer legal system

A

Human rights ensure a fairer legal system which benefits all of society
You have the right to a fair trial
Therefore, you cannot be imprisoned wrongfully
This gives power, especially to the most vulnerable of society and protects them from the government acting unjustly
