Conflict Theorist approaching law
- Crime is the result of class struggle
- Focus on role government plays in creating a criminogenic environment

Criminogenic Environment
Environment that as a result of laws that privilege certain groups, produce crime or criminality

- Protects the property of those in power, suppresses potential threats to the elites

- to not make it necessary to prove intent by those who discriminate
