Q

what is the role of B cells & how are they used? (7)

A

1) surface antigens are taken in by B cell
2) the cell processes the antigen & present it on its surface
3) helper T cells attach to processed antigens & activates B-cell
4) B-cell divide & give clones of plasma cells by mitosis
5) cloned plasma cells produces & secretes specific antibody that’s complementary to pathogen surface
6) antibodies attach & destroy pathogen
7) B-cells develop into memory cells
