Recently in Japan, the price of rice has gone up.
For example, 5 kilograms of rice costs about 4,200 yen.
That’s twice as much as last year.
Some people in Japan couldn’t buy rice at the store or couldn’t eat rice.
At some schools, there were days when no one could eat rice balls.
