1. They lived exemplary lives, so they set good exampels of individual, social,moral and spiritual conduct
2. They communicated the message of God to others and therefore helped Islam spread

It shows Muslims that God is merciful and forgiving (surah 2:36)

In the Qu’ran he is described as the ‘seal of all prophets’ as he had all of the qualities of earlier messengers. Muslims are taught to follow his example in order to claim God’s reward
