What is an Ecosystem?
A group of organisms and their environment.
What is a Community?
A group of species that live in the same area and interact.
What is Adaptation?
The changing of an organisms’ way of doing things to survive more easily. This occurs over long periods of time.
What makes an Ecosystem balanced?
An Ecosystem is balanced of there is plenty of food and resources for all inhabitants, and the amount of each animal in the area is relatively the same.
What is Succession?
The replacement of a community with another in a specific area over time.
What is the most common Short-Term change in an Ecosystem?
Seasons.
What causes the most Long-Term changes in Ecosystems?
Construction and collecting done by humans.
What non-human-related things can cause extended changes in an ecosystem?
New species coming to an area and things of the sort.
