What is the Daily Scrum?
The Daily Scrum is a 15 minute time boxed event for the Development Team, held every day of the Sprint.
At it the work for the next 24 hours is planned.
It is held at the same place and same time.
What are the outcomes of the Daily Scrum?
Optimizes team collaboration and probability that the Sprint goal will be met.
Improves communication, promotes quick decision making.
Reduces complexity and need for other meetings.
Enables inspection and forecasting.
The Development Team uses Daily Scrum for?
To inspect progress towards the Sprint Goal and to inspect how the progress is trending toward completing the work in the Sprint backlog.
Basic structure - questions during the Daily Scrum?
- What did I do yesterday that helps meet the goal?
- What will I do today to help meet the goal?
- What impediments do I see that prevents me or the team for meeting the goal?
What is the Scrum Masters responsibility during the Daily Scrum?
The Scrum Master ensures that the Development Team has the Daily Scrum, that the time-box is held, and that the team is not disrupted.
- But the Development Team is responsible for conducting the Daily Scrum.
