What is the Sprint review?
The Sprint Review is an informal meeting (not a status meeting) held at the end of the Sprint to inspect the Increment and adapt the Product Backlog if needed.
What is done during the Sprint Review?
The Scrum Team and stakeholders collaborate about what was done during the Sprint, and on the next things that could be done to optimize the value (based on changes during the Sprint).
The presentation of the Increment is intended to elicit feedback and foster collaboration.
Duration of the Sprint Review?
1 hour per week of the Sprint = 4 hours for a 1 month Sprint
Who are the attendees of the Sprint Review?
Scrum team and key stakeholders invited by the Product Owner.
What does the Product Owner do during the Sprint Review?
Explains what product Backlog Items have been “Done” and which haven’t.
Further, he discusses the Product Backlog as it stands and projects target and delivery dates based on the current progress.
Development Team role during the Sprint Review?
The Development Team discusses what went well, what problems they faced and how they solved them.
They demonstrate the work that has been done and answer questions about the increment.
What do all participants of the Sprint Review do together?
- collaborate on what to do next = valuable input in the upcoming Sprint.
- Review of the marketplace or change of the potential use of the product = change of direction
- Review of the timeline, budget, potential capabilities…
Result of the Sprint Review?
Revised Product Backlog that defines the probable Product Backlog items for the next Sprint.
