Where are they Hydraulic Pumps located?

A

1 and #2 pump modules are located on the input modules inside the hydraulics bay. The back-up pump is located on the forward port side of the hydraulics bay. The utility pump is located on the STBD side of the main transmission in the M/R/H pylon.

Location and purpose of Hydraulic Transfer Modules?

A

The transfer modules are inboard of each of the transmission-driven pump modules and provide transfer of hydraulic pressure sources.

Purpose of Selector Valves?

A

A selector valve placed in one of four port positions directs hydraulic fluid from the hand pump reservoir (holding 1.3 quarts of hydraulic fluid) to the three pump modules or to the rotor brake master cylinder.

Purpose and location of Reservoirs?

A

Reservoirs store hydraulic fluid. 4 pumps and 1 reservoir. They are as follows:

  • Attached to the #1 hydraulic pump
  • Attached to the #2 hydraulic pump
  • Attached to the back-up hydraulic pump
  • Servicing reservoir in hydraulic bay
  • Attached to the utility hydraulic pump

A

There are several sets of servos in the helicopter. Three primary servos, the forward, aft, and lateral absorbs feedback forces from the main rotor.
