Explosives and Bomb Disposal

What will officers do and Supervisors ensure if at a scene of an explosive device/bomb?

Answer 1

No uses of cell phones, portable radios, car radios within 300 feet of the bomb threat location. Supervisors will ensure the cells phones and radios are turned off. Communications will be from the sts and dispatch by land line or an officer away from the immediate scene.

Question 2

The on scene supervisor will meet with whom if known and what are their responsibilities?

Answer 2

the owner of the property, to interview and to utilize the owner to search the area, but instruct them not to touch anything. STS will interview the original caller, Set up traffic control, security perimeter, and any outside agencies will be coordinated through the on scene supervisor.

Question 3

Anyone evacuated from the area to move to a distance of?

Answer 3

300 yards from the bomb site.
