  • most consistent features: abdo pain, bloating, change in bowel habit
  • may also be present: lethargy, nausea, backache, bladder sx

A

irritable bowel syndrome

  • unilateral dull ache which may be intermittent / only occur during intercourse
  • torsion / rupture → severe abdo pain
  • large cysts → abdo swelling / pressure effects on bladder

dx?

A

ovarian cyst

  • urinary sx: incontinence, frequency, urgency
