MDL = Military Demarcation Line
FSCL = Fire support coordination line (don’t need coord to fire beyond)
CFL = Coordination Fire Line

CASEVAC = Casualty evacuation
- Is an impromptu response likely from a nearby airborne asset
AME - Aeromedical Evacuation
- A dedicated aircraft is ready and specially equipped on short notice to move

Support zone
- Rear ech, where our logistics assets can manoeuvre to support the front line
Battle zone
- Where FR/EN forces engage in direct war fighting
Disrupt zone
- Beyond the FEBA, used to target EN logistics assets
Explain the symbols for division, brigade, battalion and company
DIV = XXX (3 Brigades)
BRIG = X
BAT = III (3 Companies)
COM = I
Explain the difference between CCA and CAS:
CCA = Close combat attack
- When the airborne asset has a detailed understanding of the friendly SOM so that positive deconfliction is not required
CAS = Close air support
- When the airborne asset is unfamiliar with the detailed FF SOM, fires coordinated by JTAC/JFO IOT avoid frat
LOA vs ALOA
LOA = Limit of Advance
ALOA = Air LOA
Engagement criteria vs bypass criteria:
Engagement criteria:
- If engaged by a target, the mission/risk value is considered IOT target the vehicle (opportunity targets too good to miss)
Bypass criteria:
- When engaged by a target, if it fits within the requirements its will by bypassed and reported (Target isn’t juicy enough)

CCIR = Commander critical information requirement
PIR = Priority Intelligence Requirement

HQ = Frequency hopping for AM
SIN = as above for FM
Both need TOD GPS and day accuracy

DEADEYE = Laser is broken (someone else fire)
ALIBI = Hellfire is broken (someone else fire)
