    moon and back, twice. In comparison Copenhageners only travel 660.000
    kilometers by Metro.
  • In central Copenhagen there are more bikes than citizens. 520.000 inhabitians and
    560.000 bicycles.
  • The busiest biking lane in the world is Dronning Louises bro in Copenhagen with up
    to 36.000 cyclist passing through daily.
  • 63% of all members of the Danish parliament, located in the middle of
    Copenhagen, commute daily by bike.

Study: Pedelecs as a physically active transportation mode

A

Design:
- 20 sedentary commuters were told to commute to work by e-bike at least three times a week for 40 minutes a day over 1 month
- they wore a GPS tracker and a heart-rate monitor
Results:
- after a month of this, health tests showed the subjects has better cardiovascular health, more aerobic capacity, and improved blood sugar control compared to before
