What is the therapeutic value of occupations and activities?
The therapeutic value includes motivation and meaning, holistic engagement, identity and autonomy, skill development, restoration and adaptation, and client centred analysis.
What are the types of analysis?
The types of analysis are activity, basic, demand, and applied.
What are the steps to conduct a basic analysis?
1) Describe part of an occupation 2) Mention what is done 3) Mention the order/sequence which it is done 4) List the essential tools and materials 5) Mention the people involved 6) List any safety hazards.
What are the components of demand analysis?
1) Determine the skills needed for each step 2) Determine any tools and materials needed 3) Analyze the tools and materials used in context of the demands.
What are the steps in applied analysis?
1) Match the selected activity to the needs, problems, assets, and interests of a client 2) Consider the potential remedial benefits for a specific diagnosis or individual 3) Consider how the task may be adapted to promote or enhance performance.
