what is ADR
A
alternatice dispuite resolution allows parties to settle disputes with help of an independant third party without need for a formal court hearing

- cheap
- before courts involved
- not formal agreement or enforceable

- facilitator helps the parties reach an agreement
- dosnt impose a solution, no opinion
- conversations are private
- not legally binding

- paid for by parties
- 3rd party suggests grounds for comprimise
- results not legally binding
- discussions here cant go to court

- private
- recognised expert in that particular area
- can take place in person, hearing, paper ect
- can include more than one arbitrator
- decision legally binding
