what is a district judge (inferior)
A
- mags court
- hear summary matters and some tribal either way
- decide verdict + sentance
- complete same function as mags but are qualified and paid
- can sit in county court
- previously a solicitor or barrister

- part time judge
- also practice being a solicitor or barrister
- can sit in county court or crown court
- advise jury on law
- pass sentance
-hear appeals from mags court

A
- full time judge

- appointed to 1/6 circuits around England and Wales
-serve county and crown courts - advise jury and pass sentance
- hear appeals in mags

A
- experts in a particular feild
- sit on kings bench division/ chancery division/ family divison

- either hear criminal or civil cases
- only hear appeals from lower courts
- senior, lengthy judicial experiance
