During single engine taxi with Eng Anti-ice on, how many PACKS should be operated?
One
At what OAT should runups occur with engine anti-ice on?
<3 degrees OAT
Engine runups in icing conditions below 3 degrees OAT
757 - Run the engines up to a minimum of 50% N1 for approximately 1 second duration at intervals no greater than 15 minutes.
767 P&W - Run the engines up to a minimum of 50% N1 for approximately 1 second duration at intervals no greater than 15 minutes.
767 GE - Run the engines up to a minimum of 60% N1 for approximately 30 second(s) duration at intervals no greater than 30 minutes.
Standing Takeoff
When Anti-ice is required and OAT <3degrees
holding the brakes while in position on the assigned runway until the engines are stabilized at or above 60% N1 before the start of the takeoff roll.
Fan Ice Removal
if fan icing is suspected due to high engine vibration, increase thrust on one engine at a time to a minimum of 70% N1 for 10 to 30 seconds every 10 minutes.
GE Engine Flameout Protection
When descending and TAT <10 degrees and IN visible moisture
ENGINE ANTI-ICE selectors/switches….ON
At or below 22,000 feet:
WING ANTI-ICE selector/switch….ON
After landing procedure
after prolonged operation in icing conditions
Or Airframe icing observed
Or Landing on a contaminated runway
Do not retract the flaps to less than flaps 20 until the flap areas have been checked to be free of contaminants.
