A
Relaxes smooth muscle of bronchial tree.
Relieves bronchospasm & decreases airway resistance

Indications
A
- Resp distress w/ bronchospasm (suspected in Asthma/COPD)
- Near drowning w/ bronchospasm (wheezing)
- Resp burns (wheezing)
- Smoke, gas & or toxic substance inhalation w/ bronchospasm (wheezing)
- Anaphylaxis in extremis (if wheezing persist after epinephrine)
- Hyperkalemia
- Hyperkalemia secondary to RHABDOMYOLSIS.

DOSE ROUTE
A
- 2.5mg in 3mL NS via nebulizer aerosol.
- 5mg for severe distress
- may repeat or administer continuously prn.
