Anatomy Flashcards
(41 cards)
What structures are in superficial fascia?
Cutaneous nerves, one main pre and one main post axial vein. Pre joins deep drainage more proximally
Dermatomes of arm
Radial, musculocutaneous, ulnar, median. Also, test points for spinal nerves
Where to test spinal nerves on legs
L1-s3
What nerves could be in danger during vein puncture of cubital fossa
Medial and lateral cutaneous nerves of forearm
Structures in danger if vein puncture goes too deep
Brachial artery, median nerve
What happens to axillary artery
Becomes brachial at inf border of teres major
Effect of compressing brachial artery mid-arm.
Radial and ulnar collaterals maintain blood flow
What enters deltoid thru quadrangular space
Post hum circumflex artery, axillary nerve
Components of rotator cuff
Supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis, teres minor
Radial nerve travels along post humerus with what?
Deep brachial artery
What muscles insert on greater trochanter? ASIS? AIIS?
Glut med, min, piriformis; sartorius, tensor FL; rectus fem
Compartments of thigh and nerves
Ant: femoral, post: tibial, medial: obturator
Hip flexors. Which is abdominal?
Sartorius, rec fem, pectineus, iliopsoas; ilio
Fem triangle
Ing lig, add long, sartor, iliopsoas, pectineus
Which of the four lies outside fem sheath?
Nerve
Adductor hiatus is in which muscle?
Add Magnus
Blood supply to femur head
Medial femoral circumflex
Gracilis
Flex knee, adduct hip
Insertion of gluteal region muscles
Greater trochanter, intertrochanteric crest, iliac crest
Superior gluteal nerve and artery serve what? Inferior? Where do they emerge?
Glut med and min and tensor FL. Glut max. On either side of piriformis
Weakness of gluteus med/min can cause what?
Trendelenburg gait
Origination and innervation of hamstrings. Which inserts on lateral side of knee?
Ischial tuberosity. Ant division of sciatic (tibial) Except short head biceps fem (perineal div of sciatic). Biceps femoris.
The knee is blank axial. Muscle that unlocks it?
Bi. Popliteus.
Nerve of post compartments of leg. Actions? Blood supply?
Tibial. Plantar flexion and inversion (tib post). Post tibial and fibular.
