What is the difference between substrate level phosphorylation and oxidative phosphorylation?

substrate level phosphorylation takes place when the body needs to generate energy with little to no oxygen present (anaerobic) whereas oxidative phosphorylation takes place when oxygen is present and has a much larger yield of ATP (aerobic).
