What are the three ways of classifying HL?
A
Type, Degree, Configuration
Type (air vs bone test)=Conductive, sensorineural, mixed
Degree = Normal, mild, moderate….
Configuration = flat, sloping, notched….

What does air conduction test?
A
AC assesses total hearing system (conductive & SN)

What does bone conduction test?
A
BC tests the sensorineural part of hearing
*AC-BC conductive part only AKA air-bone gap
