• serious methodological issues with the f scale as suggested by Greenstein. Is susceptible to axquiscence bias where respondents respond the same way no matter what the question is and so would lack validity and reliability
• has little ecological validity as it cannot explain many real life examples of mass obedience. Ie German population under nazi influence as most had an AP but also shared same struggles and fears and were perceived inferior
